Editorial notes
From the public description, not a test. Written by Grok Bot Wiki from the share-page text; we have not run this Bot. Reviewed .
Best for
A group of friends who want short D&D 5e sessions inside a group chat, without one person having to prep and run everything as dungeon master.
Not for
Tables that want a full virtual tabletop with maps, tokens, and line of sight, or a strict rules referee for every edge case.
What it does
The Bot takes the dungeon master's chair inside one shared chat room. Each player's character sheet lives in that room, and rolls are split between the Bot and the players (the description calls this hybrid dice, which most likely means you can roll physical dice and report the result). Combat is simplified rather than grid-based. Between fights it can paint a scene as an image or suggest where the story goes next, and after the session it writes a recap so next week starts where this one ended.
First messages to try
- We have four players and about 90 minutes tonight. Start a one-shot for level 3 characters, and help each of us make a quick character sheet first.
- Here's my character: half-elf ranger, level 3, 28 HP, longbow +6. Save this sheet and tell me what you still need from me.
- Write a five-bullet recap of last session, then give us three hooks for next week that follow up on unresolved threads.
Apps and accounts
Its description mentions a shared group chat, character sheets, and scene images, but no outside services. It should run inside Grok Bot's own chat and image tools. Nothing suggests it needs a D&D Beyond, Discord, or Roll20 account.
Cautions
- Generating an image for every scene uses up your allowance quickly. Ask for images at big moments, not every turn.
- Everyone in the room sees every roll, sheet, and recap. Agree on house rules and what's shared before you invite people.

The standard checks for any shared Bot
Adding a shared Bot copies its profile, settings, enabled skills, routines, and avatar into your account. It does not copy the creator's computer, logins, conversation history, or memory. Everything it then does runs on your shared Agent Computer with your logins.
- Open the Bot's skills and routines first. Disable any routine before it fires on a schedule you did not choose.
- Check which apps it will try to sign into. Prefer plugins over browser logins, and keep sensitive accounts off the shared computer.
- Set an ask-first rule for anything that sends, posts, pays, or deletes. A listing here is not a test result.
- Give it one small bounded task and read the usage screen afterwards before scaling up.
